At Last Farm’s offers Agility Training
Becky Stenberg is a Fort Bragg resident who has taught Agility through the Parks & Recreation Center for years. Becky competes in agility trials with her own dog, a Dalmatian named Nutmeg.
Training is done in a series of 6 classes on
Beginning Agility Class Dogs are introduced to the obstacles, including A-frame, teeter-totter, dog walk, tunnels, table tire, weave poles, and jumps. All equipment will be lowered until dogs are able to safely and confidently execute the obstacles.
Intermediate Agility Class Dogs must have completed a beginning Agility course and be able to safely execute the obstacles. Off leash work with sequencing and handling skills are taught.
Requirements Good sit and down stay, and recall required. Dog must be at least 1 year old. Dog’s shot record showing current vaccinations Leather or nylon leash Collar - flat buckle or snap collar No aggressive dogs towards people or dogs Treats for your dog (small soft treats are best) Comfortable clothes and shoes for running Water for yourself and your dog
